The surname of Bea is in honor of her father who passed away. Aisling O'Sullivan, also referred to as Cliodhnadh Aisling, was born at Kildare town, which is located in County Kildare. Bea's father Brian is an equine doctor who took his own life when she was just three. Bea didn't learn how her father passed away until she was thirteen. Bea adopted the stage name Bea to pay tribute to her father. She published an article in The Guardian in 2017 about the suicide of her family members. Bea's mom Helen was also an instructor for jockeys and a former professional jockey, was the one responsible for taking care of her and Sinead. Their family was enthralled by races as well as horses.
